West African Examination Council, WAEC West African Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination, WASSCE Script Re-Marking Application Guidelines for School Candidates [May/June] and Private Candidates [GCE].
The West African Examination Council [WAEC] wishes to inform all students who wish to apply for exam script remarking that they can do so by following the guidelines outlined.
The request for Exam Script Remarking arises from dissatisfaction with a candidate’s results and the desire to know what might have accounted for such a performance; The review of scripts is done with a view to identifying the weaknesses of the candidates and correcting any defects in teaching and the way candidates tackle questions; for school-based examinations, requests for exam scripts remarking are entertained from heads of schools; Private candidates also may request for review of their own scripts.
It must be noted that worked scripts are kept for only three [3] months after the release of results.
In view of this, all requests for review should be done within the stipulated period.
The WAEC Exam Script Remarking is open to all WASSCE For School Candidates and WASSCE For Private Candidates.

Joan Igudia says
I want to appeal to WAEC to remark my mathematics papers written in the last concluded WASSCE for private candidates because I am completely dissatisfied with the result.
I answered five questions on theory paper and answered all the questions on objectives, I am still in shock why I was given a F9,this is so unsettling, unbelievable and devastating because I know I deserve a far better result in this subject,
A prompt positive result in redressing this issue will be deeply appreciated.
Thank you.
